Shri Bankey Bihari Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, within the City of God of Vrindavan within the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.

The Bankey Bihari Mandir, Vrindavan is amongst the holiest and renowned temples of Krishna in Bharat. Shri swami haridas got Bankey Bihari ji appeared in Nidhivan.

The idol of Thakur ji is way older and was idolised in Nidhivan until 1863. This temple was created in 1864 with the contribution of Goswamis. after constructing of temple, Goswamis transferred the idol to the current temple. Bankey means that “Bent at 3 places” and Bihari means that “Supreme enjoyer”.

Bankey Bihari JI is worshiped and taken care of as a baby. there’s a special|a distinct} and unique style of celebrating each festival in Bankey Bihari temple.

The immortal is dressed up and offered cuisine (bhog, prasad) in line with season. Temple is decorated with lights and numerous styles of flower in line with festival.

There are no bells or conch within the temple as a result of Bankey Bihari doesn’t like the sound of bells or conch. there’s solely chant of ‘radha naam’.

How to reach?

By Air:

The closest airfield is Agra i.e. simply sixty seven kilometer away from Vrindavan. The closest international field is Delhi, that is connected to almost important necessary town within the world with major airlines.

There are regular flights to other important tourist destinations of Bharat like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and chennai etc.

By Road:

Vrindavan is located on Delhi-Agra NH-2. the varied buses runs between the urban center and Delhi. temple is seven kilometer away from National Highway. 

Reaching to Temple is extremely easy as there are frequent tempos and rickshaw out there throughout the day.

Mathura is just 12 km away. frequent buses, tempos and taxies runs between Mathura and Vrindavan.

By Train:

Mathura is simply twelve kilometer away. frequent buses, tempos and taxies runs between Mathura and Vrindavan. the key railway station close is Mathura on the Delhi-Chennai and Delhi-Mumbai main line.
