The four-day festival unites Barsana, the residence of Radha’s father, Vrishabhanu, where Lord Krishna’s beloved Radha was born. Ladli Mahal attracts devotees every morning and evening. A four-day fair is organized during Radhashtami on the occasion of Bhadra Pad Shukla Ekadashi.
The majority of the ancient structures here date back 300 years. The temple’s vantage point offers a panoramic view of the entire Barsana village.

The festival usually occurs a few days before the main Holi festival and is associated with the divine love between Lord Krishna and Radha, who is believed to be from Barsana.
During Lathmar Holi, the women of Barsana playfully beat the men from the nearby village of Nandgaon with sticks, symbolizing the playful teasing and mock battle that might have taken place between Lord Krishna and the gopis (cowherd women).
